FESTIVAL LOCATION
QUESTION: Where will the 2023 TBAAL Riverfront Jazz Festival take place?
ANSWER: Downtown Dallas @ Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center Theater Complex. Labor Day weekend, September 1 - 3, 2023.
QUESTION: Where can I park?
ANSWER: Downtown Dallas has various parking options. Jazz Festival attendees may park in the Dallas Convention Center ground-level parking garage at the rate of $15 per vehicle entry. Metered lots are also available for festival attendees on Canton Street. Rates may vary. *Overnight parking for patrons is not permitted.
QUESTION: Is this an outdoor event?
ANSWER: No, this is an indoor event. All three Jazz Festival stages September 1st - 3rd are indoors therefore lawn chairs are not needed. Food trucks will be located outdoors, and select Food Concession booths will be located in the arena concourse.
ALCOHOL
QUESTION: Is this an alcohol-free event? Can I buy individual drinks or bottle service?
ANSWER: This is not an alcohol-free event. Individual drink purchases will be available. Bottle service is not available. Patrons are NOT permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onto the premises.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to liquor license restrictions, drinks purchased at KBH Convention Center bars are not permitted beyond designated/marked areas and must be consumed prior to entry into Black Academy of Arts and Letters areas. Additionally, drinks purchased at (TBAAL) bars are not permitted beyond designated/marked areas and must be consumed prior to entry into KBH Convention Center designated areas. ANSWER: The festival address is The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, 1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX 75201. Patrons may choose ride share services via Uber, Lyft, taxi, or shuttle. Public transportation is available via Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) bus or DART rail.
QUESTION: Where should I get dropped off if I take a ride-share service to the festival?
ANSWER: If using ride-share services, the drop-off/pick-up address is 1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX 75201.
QUESTION: Is public transportation available?
ANSWER: Yes! Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Bus and Rail service is available. DART recommends using its rail service. For specific routes and times contact DART at (214) 979-1111, or visit DART at: https://www.dart.org/schedules/schedules.asp.

ANSWER: Call (214) 743-2441 to reserve tables.
QUESTION: Is there a VIP seating option?
ANSWER: No, only General Patron and Star Patron tickets are available; both of which are general admission seats. All General and Star Patron tickets are seated in the balcony areas.
Arena floor seating is acquired only through festival sponsorships, group or corporate table reservations as long as they are available.
QUESTION: Is arena-floor seating available for General or Star Patron tickets?
ANSWER: No.
QUESTION: Does the balcony have reserved seating of any kind?
ANSWER: No. All reserved seats are arena-floor reserved tables, while general admission seats are balcony seats, with the exception of the Promising Young Artists performance stage, in which all seating is general seating.
MISCELLANEOUS
QUESTION: If I sign up for a TBAAL membership at the festival, when do I get my membership card?
ANSWER: Patrons will complete a membership form and make payment and a plastic membership card will be printed and given to the patron on the spot.
QUESTION: If I exit the festival, may I re-enter without paying again?
ANSWER: Yes, festival attendees may make purchases from outside food trucks and food vendors and re-enter to enjoy additional performances. Please note that select exit doors will not allow re-entry.
QUESTION: What time will festival doors open for the 2023 Jazz Festival?
ANSWER: Doors will open one hour before the festival start time each day.

REFUNDS
QUESTION: Are refunds available for festival tickets or table purchases?
ANSWER: No, refunds are not available. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. The Riverfront Jazz Festival will take place rain or shine. The Festival may delay the start, interrupt or even cancel a concert if an emergency (Act of God) occurs. Refunds are not given due to inclement weather (unless catastrophic).

ANSWER: Yes it is best to take DART to the Jazz Festival.
QUESTION: What are the parking options for patrons who drive to the Jazz Festival?
ANSWER: There is limited first-come, first-served paid parking in the lots near The Black Academy of Arts and Letters Jazz Festival site (1309 Canton Street, Dallas, TX ). There is also the Griffin Street parking garage ($15), but it has no in/out option. The parking rate is set by the City of Dallas and is applicable to each vehicle.

ANSWER: Unfortunately, there is only a handicap drop-off point at the Festival.

ANSWER: No, there is no smoking section at the festival.
LINE-UP

ANSWER: Festival line-up to be announced.
QUESTION: How can we see ALL artists if some are performing at the same time?
ANSWER: Each performance is staggered 45 minutes between acts on two main stages (Jazz Main Stage and Blues/Soul Stage). The Promising Young Artists stage is staggered 15 minutes between acts.
